The Wednesday Mothers' Club takes pride in their interesting and varied membership and their dedication to each other and the community. The club consists of some amazing women who continue to amass an extensive knowledge about the wonderful, and sometimes frustrating, world of raising small children - and then use that knowledge to support and advise each other. Annual dues are $125.
We hope you will consider applying to this wonderful, one of a kind organization!
New members are always welcome! Feel free to contact us for further information. Use the contact form below or call Nancy Muscat, Vice President of WMC at (516) 424.9538. We look forward to hearing from you!
"Of the gifts WMC gave me, a very important one was the feeling of "control" I had when joining forces with so many moms on various projects/efforts - in the chaotic world of caring for very young children, the support and wisdom we shared encouraged a confident sense of self beyond motherhood. We reminded each other we were all trying to be great moms - but we were also kind of fantastic women - and it was really important to be both. Oh, and we laughed our butts off along the way..."
"I know that my life in Floral Park (and my family's) would be very different had I not joined Mother's Club and met some of the very special people who are so important to me. Many who I never would have met any other way."
"What better way to teach our children about leadership, volunteerism, time management and commitment than by modeling it through our own activities? The demands of modern parenting are many and time is always at a premium--this is a common bond for all of us in todays world as we juggle in the game of "life" . Yet, so many of the activities and extracurriculars we expect our children to have rely on volunteers to make them work. What better place to start than in WMC?
Mother's Club enjoys such a strong tradition here in Floral Park."
"The women I met through the club, their families, their extended families, have become our family and I just can't imagine how lonely, isolated, and adrift I would feel without those connections."
